QTS CIVIL ENGINEERING

The civil engineering division has the ability to deliver complete 'turn-key' civil engineering packages for infrastructure and non-infrastructure clients. Delivery of cost effective, customer focused solutions for major and minor projects is a specialism.

QTS Group support Scottish Water’s maintenance and renewals programmes, delivering civil engineering works for new installations and repairs throughout Scotland.

QTS invested heavily in plant, equipment and training to demonstrate  dedication to this work. Staff are competent in the design and erection of traffic management, which tends to go hand-in-hand with the work.

Fencing/Boundary Management 
QTS can deliver fencing/boundary services for clients on a national basis. Civil engineering operatives can supply and erect all types of fencing/walling/barriers to British Standards for rural, industrial, ornamental and utility applications.    
A team of expert stonemasons is available who can design and build all types of walls and features.


Mast Base Installation     
QTS Group are assisting in the installation of a single national system of secure train driver to signaller communication. The system is being constructed by Network Rail across the country. It will use Global System for Mobile communications – Railways (GSM-R) technology and will involve the erection of approximately 2000 masts nationwide.
The sites can span rail, highway and utility environments in urban areas. This requires multi-discipline, cross-sector technical project management to ensure the smooth delivery of projects.

QTS Group work with clients to maintain bridges ensuring safe passage for the public, whilst safeguarding the integrity of the structure and reducing the possibility of collapse. Structural services currently provided by QTS Group include:
